Robert S. Metz

Bob began his career as an officer in the United States Navy serving as a Surface Warfare Officer on the USS Forrestal. After His Naval tour, he started his IT career working for Electronic Data Systems in Dallas, Texas as a Systems Engineer. He also worked as a System Designer for IBM and as Manager of Data Processing with Home Security Life in North Carolina. Bob later joined Carolina Power & Light (CP&L) in Raleigh and held numerous Managerial positions in IT and Telecommunications Since retiring from CP&L (now Progress Energy) he has worked as a Consultant and Project Manager, developing and implementing work processes in the telecommunications practice area. Bob established his private consulting practice in 2005. Since then, he has had engagements with clients on the implementation of Primavera Project Management Software. Engagements included Lucent Technologies, Bank of America, and Progress Energy. Bob has conducted over 30 Project Management classes over the past two years.

Bob earned a BS in Engineering from N. C. State University. Additional studies include the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Executive Development Program.
